Materials, pacing, and interactions are matched to the cognitive, social, and emotional stage of the learners.
Programs are led by capable facilitators who create meaningful, active learning experiences.
The program surfaces real evidence that learners have made progress against the stated outcomes.
Young learners are kept safe, respected, and protected, online and in person.
All six standards are treated as essential. A program cannot be accredited by scoring highly on some while failing others — reviewers look for genuine coverage across every standard.

Rubrics, checkpoints, learner projects, portfolios, showcases, or structured feedback — anything that goes beyond attendance and shows a learner has made progress against the stated outcomes.

The standards are reviewed annually by the YLEA committee under CPD International Group, with input from practising educators and safeguarding leads.
